We are still moving forward and looking into creating a panel for a local convention but have not booked anything for this year yet. We are on the list for a few for 2020.
Some members decided to put together a workshop to learn how to waltz for the Bleeding Hearts Ball.
Due to the success of this workshop as well as the need for similar events, we have decided to create a specialist to run workshops and educational get-togethers for members throughout the year that are separate from our social events.
The SemiFang project has already gotten some attention for 2019 so we have voted to make Malka the project lead on this for the third year. Photoshoots for members will hopefully begin in March.
Bleeding Hearts 2019 will take place in less than a week on Saturday, February 9, 2019. All vendors and performers have been booked. There will be a guest DJ at midnight, starting off his session with a 10-minute waltz. Doors open at 8 pm.
Two new members have been voted in.
Two new social committee members have been voted in.
A local theater group is putting on a vampire-themed play called “ Children of the Night” in April.
We have voted to be involved with promotions as well as have a table at the showings to help promote the VCD. A project lead will be voted on by the members. These showings will take place at the Bath House Cultural Center.
At this time, there is no new news regarding a new VCD website. Our original site is still up and running with current information.
