Our VCD member Holiday party was a success. Lots of members attended and participated in the white elephant.

Moving forward we will have social events every other month and educational workshops on corresponding months. Educational workshops will be on odd months and social events on even months. Our next members-only workshop will be on Jan 11 and will be about domestic violence with a representative from the New Beginning Center.

We are in the process of restocking our Etsy store and putting up new merchandise. If you have ideas, please send them to our merchandiser, Sarah.

New stock of business cards and brochures for 2020 to be reimbursed from the general fund was voted on with 1 objection and 3 abstains.

Holiday Horror was a huge success. We raised over $3059 worth of toys and donations for the New Beginning Center.

Bleeding Hearts 2020 is coming up. It will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Church and will benefit the Texas Anti-Bullying Coalition. This event will be circus-themed. The ticket link will be up soon. There will also be a pre-party on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Panoptikon.

The VCD will be joining the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence during the last week of August for a Lip Sync Battle. Mikey was voted the lead of this project with no objections and no abstains. There will be a blind vote for the lead for Semi-Fang 2020 up on the members’ page. Three members are nominated and voting will close on Sunday, January 12 at midnight.

We have decided to put our name in the running to have a panel at Akon 2020. The panel will be between 30-60 minutes long and have 4-5 members representing the VCD. Members voted on the application with only 2 abstains and no objections.

We have decided to be part of the Pride Festival this year and not the parade. The $350 application fee was voted on with no objections and 2 abstains. The festival will take place on June 6, 2020. More information to come.

Nocturnal Gothic Burlesque Fest will take place on April 25 and we have been asked to partner with it to support a local LGBTQA charity. It will take place at Viva’s. This was voted in with 1 abstain and no objections. Seven members are nominated to lead and a blind vote will take place on the member’s page. The vote ends Sunday, January 12 at midnight.

Charter Revision S will require all members to volunteer for at least 2 hours every year. The year starts on your membership anniversary month. This was voted in with no abstains and no objections.
