Public Meeting Notes 08-04-2019

The next social committee event for VCD members will take place Friday, Aug 23, 2019, at Three Links in Deep Ellum. It will be an 80s party with Tim Cappello from Lost Boys headlining.

Our official website 2.0 has been released. We are now working on a business page for professional networking.

We are officially the owners of Dallas VC, VC Dallas Charities, Vampire Court of Dallas FTW DBA. We are finalizing trademarking the Vampire Court of Dallas.

Creature Carnival was a successful event, thanks to our convention lead. We had a group of members at our information table informing the guests about what we do and selling some merchandise. The event raised money for cancer research.

Our next educational workshop will be run by our King, Mike, and will take place Saturday, Aug. 14, 2019.

With our Casino event right around the corner, he will be teaching the members the basics of gambling.

Our Semi Fang Suicide Prevention project will go live next month. There will be a handful of photoshoots left for members to be involved in. These shoots will be posted on our members’ page.

Laesaelea Mar was nominated and voted in as court guardian for another year. Our media coordinator has worked on doing an article for our Luck Be A Lady event. This article was approved by member vote with 1 abstain.

Our next Holiday toy drive will take place this December at the Church. Event leads have been nominated and will be voted on via our members’ page.

Two new houses have been voted on to join as sub-organizations under the VCD umbrella. Mimisbrunner Kindered was voted in with 1 abstain. DeVotat Tigan, of Clan Rahamdalph was voted in with 1 abstain.

Our records keeper will run the vote for our annual King and Queen election. Mike and Rayne will be running as director and co-director hoping to renew their titles for a fourth year. The link to the anonymous vote will be on the members’ page and the results will be announced, along with our annual “yearbook” votes at the September anniversary meeting.
