VCD is now a verified nonprofit on Facebook and will soon be able to accept donations through Facebook. Mary is moving forward towards getting us a bank account. She also got us a PayPal credit card reader, so we can now accept credit card payments in the future.
Austin’s court will be having a Vampire Carnival this upcoming weekend, Saturday, May 13, 2017. Mike will be driving down Saturday morning if anyone would like to join.
VCD’s Instagram account is now in the hands of Lane.
Future fundraising ideas were discussed; including t-shirts, merchandise, and a summer garage sale.
Jason Karl of Mind’s Eye Theater has shown an interest in doing an event with VCD in the future.
Rayne is continuing to look into doing a Family-friendly event. Ideas include Room with a Key and the drive-in theater.
Malka has started to take names of members who are interested in modeling and being showcased in the Semi-Fang/ Suicide awareness photo series.
The Endless Nights Salon (father Sebastiaan’s event) was a success. A lot of VCD members attended and really enjoyed themselves. Rayne and Mike had the pleasure of enjoying Sebastiaan’s company for dinner prior to the event.
Friday, June 2, 2017, Rayne will be performing as David from Lost Boys at a Vampires vs Wolves burlesque event at Sue Ellens.
Mikey has connected us with Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an LGBTQ organization, and we are discussing a future event with them.
A mutual friend of some of the members is involved with a Rape Crisis group that helps raise funds for rape kits, has reached out to us about considering doing an event in their honor.
Charter Revision D (pipeline for membership) was discussed and voted in. Revisions are now added to Google docs.
We are now official sponsors of Convergence and are co-hosting the Pre-Party which will take place Thursday, May 18, 2017, at The Red Blood Club (RBC).
The volunteer sign-up sheet is up and open for members to help with the Blood Drive sign-up. Blood Drive will help Carter Blood Care.
Dax Stokes will have the World Dracula Symposium on May 25, 2017. There is also a discussion of him hosting a historical class for the VCD in the future.
The meeting was concluded with the induction of a new VCD officer (Guardian), given to Mikey, a member at large being voted at a full-fledged member, and the dismissal of one member.
