Mike, with the advice of Ramon, has made more headway on a possible bank account with a credit union that has worked with charities in the past. We are currently on a waiting list.
Mind’s Eye Theater event- not enough interested to do an event in June, so it has been rescheduled for July 23, 2017, and Will has graciously offered to host it at his home.
Nicky Arnold (graphic designer) is still working on our submitted t-shirt designs and will have proof for members to vote on by the August meeting.
We have tentatively scheduled a group photoshoot with Aoife for December 8, 2017
Paige Skinner, a reporter from the Dallas Observer, has reached out to us several times for an interview with the Dallas “Vampires.” Since she was not willing to produce some sample questions, we have declined. She has decided to mention VCD in a different article, and while the statements made were neutral and easily found on our public Facebook page, a letter to her editor has been written. We would also like to remind our members to be mindful of how we represent the Court when interacting with the press and in any other social setting.
Bleeding Hearts Ball for 2018 is on the calendar for Sunday, February 11, 2018.
Radha and Ramon have been voted to be the couple displayed on the promotions.
The December Pan/ Krampus Nacht toy drive event tie-in has been approved by Byron is set for Friday, December 15, 2017. Mary and Brewer have been voted to be the members represented on the promotions for all of the Krampus Nacht event promotions. Ghoultown has tentatively agreed to perform at the Krampus Nacht event, Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Church as the headliner.
The idea for a future charity event- vampire movie marathon at Alamo Draft house.
Semi fang project update- Still accepting member volunteers to be showcased in the photo series. Scheduling shoots now and will have sign-up sheets for dates/photographers within the next two weeks.
Nine Lives at the Nines update- Subcommittee meeting set up for Sunday, July 16, 2017. VIP dinner hour for the event has been approved by Allen and the court. VIP and general ticket prices have been approved. Performers are being booked this week. Event on Facebook and flyers should be created by the end of the week.
Rayne will be performing a magic act and with Deadly Sins Burlesque at Hellzapoppin on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Gas Monkey. She currently has discounted tickets for sale.
Meeting concluded with 3 membership inductions; two members at large were upgraded to full members, and one new member’s application for full membership was approved.
