Out next meeting will be our annual group photo. Members are advised to dress up. This will also be a chance for officers to update their officer photos.
Our Etsy store is up and running and we are working on new merchandise and new t-shirt designs.
Our next event will be our annual toy drive. This will benefit The New Beginning Center in Garland, for the fourth year in a row. The pre-party event will take place Friday, December 13, 2019, at Panoptikon with the main event being Sunday, December 15, 2019, at The Church. We will also have drop-off locations around the metroplex to collect for the cause.
A lot of the VCD’s members were in attendance at the festivities in New Orleans over the Halloween holiday. They report that the events were delightful and that VCD is becoming nationally recognized for what we do.
Two new members have been inducted into membership.
Bleeding Hearts is officially on the calendar for Saturday, February 8, 2020. This is the weekend before valentine’s day. A vote for a cause will be on the member’s page this week.
Malka has been voted the event lead with no abstains and no objections.
The Vampire Court of Dallas has been given a Gold Star rating by Guide Star. This is a rating of non-profit. Only .05% of nationally recognized non-profits get this rating.
An executive assistant to the queen was nominated and voted in with one abstain.
One of our members has decided to start a project to show our appreciation to the Church’s staff. This will be an ongoing project that will be presented to the staff at our next event.
Our next educational workshop will be to teach our members how to use the card readers and radios at events.
VCD will be doing a Secret Santa again for the third year. This is for members only and is not required. Please sign up on the member’s page if you are interested.
